Most of y’all already know but I’ve had to place a pause on things to sort things out. That means no truck and we are no longer serving out of Red Mountain.
I’m not one to air dirty laundry so please respect the same on this thread but…”if ya know ya know”
Am I sad & devastated about this ABSOLUTELY! However, I learned a ton about myself throughout this journey and developed forever friendships. I work my butt off day in and day out and like to think I issue kindness, grace, understanding & patience. Sometimes you have to make the tough decisions though and hold people accountable. The sad part here is some external to the situation viewed my collective decisions as “greedy”….Nothing could be farther from the truth.
There were a lot of folks impacted by this and that is what tear’s me apart. As for what’s next that is still TBD. I am working on a few things but will take some time to sort out.
A key resource representing Bayou violated conditions of our Toyota Center contract and as a result we will no longer be serving at the home hockey games…
I am completely devastated, embarrassed, angry and even slightly depressed over the situation. This not only hurts our business significantly but has a profound impact on several people close to the Bayou family.
I am not sure what this business will look like going forward so for now I’m going to take this time through the holidays to figure it out. I am personally gutted but will keep fighting.
In the meantime…I understand mistakes happen so I will continue to issue understanding, kindness and sympathy. So no negative comments please! We should continue building people up - no one is perfect. The lesson learned here is that decisions and actions have consequences. We must learn from our mistakes and continue to grow as individuals.
I’ll also be taking this time to continue to support local. So many people crushing it this holiday season and I absolutely love seeing it..and the reality is it’s a constant hustle.
Hey fam! Last month we mentioned half of the ownership team is moving out of state. At that time we sat down and had to make some tough decisions around the future of Bayou and what made the most sense to keep this business successful…
Transition and change is hard no matter how you slice it…we have given back so much to the community, always the first to say yes to any donation that is requested. I know there will be rumors…don’t believe everything you hear. The truth is we have gone through stolen generators, power supplies frying our hood, weather conditions, frozen water tanks, a pandemic…just to name a few…and continued to persevere. It takes a lot to move the truck from event to event and in our case renting and moving a generator. As we were trying to figure this all out…an opportunity presented itself with our good friends at Hot Mess Burgers & Fries…
They wanted to transition to more food truck and we wanted to transition to more concessions/ghost kitchen. So with that said they will be adopting our truck and we will be joining our friends over at Red Mountain - the truth is we spent more time there making beignets than we did at the mall lol.
We are having so much fun at the Toyota Center and rooting on the AMS…this model works for us. So continue to see us at the Toyota Center and be on look out for new hours over at Red Mountain Kitchen.

Hey Fam…closed today but getting excited for what’s to come 🏒!! Preseason game at Toyota Center on 9/25. Setting up and getting signs made…there’s just something special about seeing your ‘name’ in 💡…proud of this journey over the last year!
🚨 Hey fam…Well we have been “offline” here for a few days…we really do apologize for any inconvenience. But got some 🗞….
My spouse recently accepted an amazing job opportunity that requires us to relocate to Vegas 🎰!! We are a small family owned business and it truly takes a village to support. So the team spent the last few days figuring out how to continue the success of Bayou. What I knew for certain was that I wanted to remain 100% committed to the Tri-Cities community. I am extremely grateful for my time here and will forever cherish the friendships built over the years. So I will still be a part of Bayou (y’all can’t get rid of me yet lol)…I’ll just unfortunately be doing more things remotely. My focus will continue to be giving back to this amazing community - this place will always have a place in my heart. All this really means is that things may look a little different in the coming months.
For starters and we are super excited to announce this partnership..but we will be the featured concession during all Tri-City Americans 🏒 home hockey games at the Toyota Center for the 21-22 🥅 season!!
My good friend Matt - someone who I consider family and the true pulse of Bayou will continue to hold the fort down here. We plan on staffing where short handed (thank you all who sent resumes) and we will continue to do the best we can. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and we thank you all for your kindness and patience.
